The Wild Bread Bakehouse stall in Faversham Market has long had a devoted following, but did you know, that it now has a shop in Sidings Close near the Recreation Ground, open on Tuesday to Saturday, from 8.30am to 3pm.

Hand-crafted bread at Wild Bread

‘For me it’s about working with nature to create nourishing, flavoursome food – really the best bread you can taste and eat,’ says master baker James Thorn.

All the breads are made at the rear of the shop

On offer is an extensive range of naturally-leavened breads, all made with organic flour by hand. Some of the loaves are made with wheat grown just three miles away at Tree of Life Veganics. Customers can watch the bread being made to the rear of the shop. Also available are sour dough croissants, cardamom spelt shortbread and salted rye and cacao madeleines as well as toasties at lunchtime.

Toasties including a daily vegan option

Ethically produced pantry goods.

Coffees in every permutation, herbal teas, homemade granola and a good range of ethically produced household pantry items such as olive oil are also stocked.
