A signboard to this unique enterprise

In our gardens, we are looking for garlands of repose as our access to the world outside shrinks. Denied other amusements, we can create our own Eden with the help of our local sustainable garden supplier.

Edibleculture is delivering plants, tools, seeds, natural feeds and compost in its electric van, although its shop is shut. It offers free delivery in Faversham and charges a small amount for the surrounding area and delivers according to strict safety and hygiene levels, keeping the advised social distance.

If you would like to start, or continue, growing fruit, vegetables or herbs, Edibleculture is offering seedlings in its recyclable Posipots. There are 16 varieties of tomato available now, including San Marzano, the Italian heirloom variety, beloved of cooks for a century or more, Black Russian, an old variety of beefsteak tomato with a smoky flavour, and the curious ivory-yellow cylindrical Tomato Cream Sausage. Chillies will be coming online soon.

There are blackberries and figs, pomegranates and gooseberries. There are rare and fascinating treasures such as the ‘Little Mouse Watermelon’ from Mexico which tastes of cucumber and lime, as well as a fine range of beans, courgettes, chard and others.

Ornamental trees, such as crab apples and cherries, are available as well as perennials chosen for their ability to attract insects.

Edibleculture also supplies tools and its renowned compost in reusable bags, worth £1.50 off your next order. You can ring or email – the venture is such a success that I would suggest emailing and David or Chris will call you back.
